Another bunch of old murals.
The first picture here was done off a very makeshift scaffolding which included a barrel on some planks across two barrels on top of some more planks across the shed roof and onto some ACTUAL scaffolding.
It's all freehand stuff again. I don't do prelim work or stencils. I'm too bloody lazy.

The other pictures were marginally safer. The Rose Cottage had real scaffolding as the wall was recently plastered and they hadn't removed the scaffolding when myself and my wife were called to the job.
Big jobs like the Ferrybridge and the Rose Cottage and the Shannon House look impressive, but I get away with a lot because they are so big. In fact, all three of those were done in a day apiece, to the best of my recollection - maybe two days at the most. I don't like to spend time up high, and I don't like driving long distances toa job, so I work fast under those circumstances.
The other murals here were smaller jobs - the Batmobile was about two hours work with two sheets of hardboard to make an 8' x 8' picture for my local bank. The family on holidays was about the same length of time in the bank's foyer.
Goofy took about half an hour for a pub - part of a bigger job.
The Combat Zone piece is actually three individual soldiers painted on plywood and cut out - it's a diorama type thing. That did take a day or so to put together.
The Sorceror's Apprentice painting with all the bubbles took about three hours - maybe four. I painted it about fifteen years ago for my daughters. It's long since painted over, but I was pretty pleased with it at the time, as I recall.
